Spring is one of our favorite times of the school year! To us, this season means the weather is warming up, plants are blooming, and the Academy community is making preparations for the annual Spring Benefit! Though the locations and themes have changed over the years, the spirit of families showing their passion and generosity for Harrisburg Academy continues to have a significant impact on current students and on our community. This year’s Spring Benefit, “Gala in the Garden,” has inspired student-created masterpieces that evoke spring and the freshness it brings. Each class in Early Childhood and Lower School, including Junior Kindergarten, has created a piece of art that will be up for bid in the online auction.

With lots of planning, time, and hard work, our 33 Junior Kindergarten artists worked collaboratively to create a Claude Monet-inspired floral bouquet and another piece inspired by Holton Rower’s “pour paintings.” The students enjoyed pouring, dripping, splattering, and sponging while working on their creations, and we think the end products are spectacular!

Be sure to check out this year’s online auction for all of the classroom artwork, in addition to many other offerings, from teacher “dates” to luxurious packages for parents. And of course, join us on Saturday, April 16 at Stock’s Manor for our “Gala in the Garden!”
