National Library Week Celebrations at Harrisburg Academy

Harrisburg Academy puts great value in its two libraries, the Clare Reynolds Joyce Lower School Library, and the Middle School/Upper School Library.  These two libraries service all of the Academy’s students in preschool (HATS) through 12th grade.

To celebrate National Library Week, April 9-15, 2017, the MS/US Library organized a variety of activities.  Students were encouraged to participate in the Book Face contest, guess the book character from the silhouette, and/or grab a heart and tell why they love their library.  More than 30 students participated in the contest, and it was a great week!  Here are some of our favorite Harrisburg Academy Book Face contest submissions, also shared throughout the week on social media with the national hashtag, #bookface.
